This cinnamon bread is a lovely way to start your morning when you want a little something different than your usual.

There’s nothing like the smell of fresh home baked bread, filling your house with heavenly aromas on a crisp day!

This cinnamon bread is one of my favorite breads to bake for fall, especially because it’s so easy and I usually have all the ingredients I need in my pantry.

Delicious, soft, slightly sweet, it’s the perfect loaf!

Ingredients ( 12 Servings )

2 cup All-purpose Flour

1 cup Granulated Sugar

2 tsp Baking Powder

½ tsp Baking Soda

1 ½ tsp Cinnamon, Ground

1 tsp Salt

1 cup Buttermilk

¼ cup Vegetable Oil

2 Large Eggs

2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Ingredients for the Swirl:

2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar

1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground

2 tsp Unsalted Butter, Melted

How To Make Cinnamon Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a loaf pan.

Add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, buttermilk. oil, eggs, and vanilla

In a large mixing bowl. With an electric mixer, beat the ingredients for 3 minutes.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use an offset spatula to smooth the top of the batter. Set aside.

Add sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl.

Sprinkle topping on the top of the loaf of bread.

Use a knife cut in a light swirling motion for a marbled effect.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Test the center of the loaf of bread by inserting a toothpick.

If it comes out clean, remove it from the oven to cool.

Set it aside for a few minutes to cool before slicing.

Here are some **variations and tips** to make your cinnamon bread even more exciting or to tweak it to your personal preferences:

Variations:

1. Add-ins:

Nuts: Add chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter or swirl for extra crunch and flavor.

Raisins or Dried Cranberries:For a sweet, chewy bite.

Apple؛Add small cubes of apple to the batter for a fruity twist that complements the cinnamon.

Chocolate Chips:Add a handful of mini chocolate chips for a sweet and decadent variation.

2.Swirl Variations:

Nutmeg & Cinnamon:Mix a little nutmeg into the cinnamon-sugar swirl for a spiced-up version.

Brown Sugar:Substitute granulated sugar with brown sugar for a richer flavor.

Maple Syrup: Drizzle a bit of maple syrup over the top before swirling it in for a warm, maple-flavored twist.

3.Glaze:

Vanilla Glaze:After the bread cools, drizzle a simple glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for added sweetness.

Cream Cheese Glaze: Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla, and a little milk for a tangy, creamy topping.

4.Whole Wheat or Gluten-Free Option:

Whole Wheat Replace part or all of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier version.

– Gluten-Free:Use a gluten-free flour blend to make the bread gluten-free. Be sure to check the flour’s instructions for any additional ingredients needed (like xanthan gum).

Tips for Perfect Cinnamon Bread:

1. Don’t Overmix: When beating the batter, mix only until just combined to keep the bread soft and fluffy.

2. Check for Doneness:If you don’t have a toothpick, gently press the top of the bread; it should spring back.

You can also insert a cake tester or knife to check.

3. Use Room Temperature Ingredients:Make sure your eggs, buttermilk, and oil are at room temperature to ensure a smoother batter and better rise.

4. Don’t Overcrowd the Swirl:When adding the cinnamon-sugar swirl, don’t overdo it; a light swirl gives the best marbled effect.

5. Storage: Store leftover bread in an airtight container or wrap it in plastic wrap.

It stays fresh for a few days at room temperature or can be refrigerated for up to a week.

6. Freezing: If you want to store it long-term, wrap the bread tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight before serving.

7. Serve Warm:This bread tastes amazing when warmed up slightly in the microwave or oven.

You can also spread butter or cream cheese for an extra treat.

With these variations and tips, you’ll be able to customize your cinnamon bread to suit any occasion or preference!
