To store yogurt cake and keep it fresh:
- Cool Completely: Let the cake cool completely at room temperature before storing. This helps prevent moisture buildup that can make the cake soggy.
- Wrap Properly: Wrap the cake tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. This prevents it from drying out and protects it from absorbing any odors from the refrigerator.
- Use an Airtight Container: For added freshness, place the wrapped cake in an airtight container.
- Refrigeration: Store the cake in the refrigerator if you plan to keep it for more than a day or two. Yogurt cake generally stays fresh for up to a week when refrigerated.
- Freezing (Optional): If you want to store the cake for a longer period, you can freeze it. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil or place it in a freezer-safe bag. It can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw it in the refrigerator before serving.
By following these steps, you’ll ensure your yogurt cake remains delicious and fresh.
Cool & Enjoy: Let it cool in the oven. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, and you’re ready to enjoy!
Happy baking!
